For the first time since Arctic Light in 1987, Klaus Schønnings music is being released on vinyl once again.
The occasion is the extensive work Music in Colors, consisting of six albums, each dedicated to its own color: Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue and Purple.
Music in Colors is an ambitious musical exploration of color, with each of the six albums containing nine tracks. Every track title on an album is a variation on the respective color, making both the music and the titles part of a unified artistic concept. With the vinyl release, Music in Colors now takes on a physical format that emphasizes the work as a whole and brings its six individual color worlds together in a tangible form.
It is also a significant release in Klaus Schønning’s career, marking the first time in almost four decades that his music has appeared on vinyl. The last vinyl release was Arctic Light in 1987.
The vinyl records are produced on demand by ElasticStage in England. This means that the records are pressed only after an order has been placed. Please allow approximately three weeks from placing an order to the album being dispatched.
