Fairytales marks Klaus Schønning's 25th anniversary as recording artist. The album also marks the 250th anniversary of world famous danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, and the album is a long fairytale journey through the atmosphere in H.C. Andersens fairytales and travelogues. The ever changing moods of H.C. Andersen is described by dynamic, colorful, contemporary music. The album closes with a sample of the beginning of Klaus' debut album 'Lydglimt'.
